Cis­ter­s­capes im Dia­log: Bil­dungs­work­shop in der Zwett­ler Klosterlandschaft

Ein le­ben­di­ger Aus­tausch und krea­ti­ve Im­pul­se präg­ten den jüngs­ten In­ter­reg Bil­dungs­work­shop am 8. Jän­ner 2026, zu dem Frei­zeit­päd­ago­gIn­nen, Teich­ran­ge­rin­nen, Kräu­ter­päd­ago­gin­nen, Stadt­füh­re­rIn­nen, Kul­tur­ver­mitt­le­rIn­nen und vie­le In­ter­es­sier­te in der Stadt­ge­mein­de Zwettl zu­sam­men­ka­men. Nach ei­ner Be­grü­ßung durch Stadt­rat Da­ni­el Rut­tin­ger stan­den in den Ge­sprä­chen die ge­mein­sa­me Wei­ter­ent­wick­lung der Cis­ter­s­capes-Bil­dungs­pro­gram­me so­wie die Er­schlie­ßung neu­er Ko­ope­ra­ti­ons­mög­lich­kei­ten im Fokus.

Viel­fäl­ti­ge Per­spek­ti­ven, ge­mein­sa­me Ziele

Die Teil­neh­men­den brach­ten ihre un­ter­schied­li­chen Ex­per­ti­sen ein, um das be­stehen­de Bil­dungs­an­ge­bot zu re­flek­tie­ren und zu er­wei­tern. Be­son­ders die The­men Füh­run­gen, Kurs­an­ge­bo­te und out­door Ak­ti­vi­tä­ten in der mit dem Eu­ro­päi­schen Kul­tur­er­be-Sie­gel aus­ge­zeich­ne­ten Klos­ter­land­schaft stan­den im Mit­tel­punkt. Da­bei wur­de über­legt, wie man die ein­zig­ar­ti­gen kul­tu­rel­len und na­tür­li­chen Res­sour­cen der Re­gi­on noch bes­ser für Bil­dungs­zwe­cke nut­zen könn­te, kon­kre­te Ideen wur­den entwickelt.

Ein zen­tra­ler Punkt des Work­shops war wei­ters die Er­ör­te­rung von Ko­ope­ra­ti­ons­mög­lich­kei­ten zwi­schen den ver­schie­de­nen Ak­teu­rIn­nen. Ziel ist es, eine lang­fris­ti­ge Zu­sam­men­ar­beit auf­zu­bau­en und die Sicht­bar­keit der Cis­ter­s­capes Bil­dungs­an­ge­bo­te in der Re­gi­on zu erhöhen.

Aus­blick: Le­ben­di­ge Klos­ter­land­schaft erleben

Die Er­geb­nis­se des Work­shops flie­ßen di­rekt in die Wei­ter­ent­wick­lung der Cis­ter­s­capes-Bil­dungs­pro­gram­me ein. Ge­plant sind un­ter an­de­rem neue The­men­füh­run­gen und be­glei­te­te Wan­de­run­gen, pra­xis­na­he Kur­se und viel­fäl­ti­ge Ak­ti­vi­tä­ten, die die Klos­ter­land­schaft Zwettls als le­ben­di­gen Lern­ort er­fahr­bar ma­chen. Pau­lus Nüss OCist, Pri­or des Stif­tes Zwettl und ver­ant­wort­lich für das Bil­dungs­haus, ent­wi­ckel­te mit den Teil­neh­men­den kon­kre­te Work­shops, die im lau­fen­den Jahr in die­ser In­sti­tu­ti­on um­ge­setzt werden.

Li­vely ex­ch­an­ges and crea­ti­ve ide­as cha­rac­te­ri­sed the la­test In­ter­reg edu­ca­tio­nal work­shop on 8 Ja­nu­ary 2026, which brought tog­e­ther lei­su­re edu­ca­to­io­nists, pond ran­gers, her­ba­lists, city gui­des, cul­tu­ral me­dia­tors and many in­te­res­ted par­ties in the mu­ni­ci­pa­li­ty of Zwettl. Af­ter a wel­co­me by Coun­cil­lor Da­ni­el Rut­tin­ger, the dis­cus­sions fo­cu­sed on the joint fur­ther de­ve­lo­p­ment of the Cis­ter­s­capes edu­ca­tio­nal pro­gram­mes and the ex­plo­ra­ti­on of new op­por­tu­ni­ties for cooperation.

Di­ver­se per­spec­ti­ves, com­mon goals

The par­ti­ci­pan­ts con­tri­bu­ted their dif­fe­rent are­as of ex­per­ti­se to re­flect on and ex­pand the exis­ting edu­ca­tio­nal of­fe­rings. The fo­cus was par­ti­cu­lar­ly on gui­ded tours, of­fe­rings of work­shops and out­door ac­ti­vi­ties in the mo­nastic land­scape, which has been award­ed the Eu­ro­pean He­ri­ta­ge La­bel. They con­side­red how the region’s uni­que cul­tu­ral and na­tu­ral re­sour­ces could be bet­ter uti­li­sed for edu­ca­tio­nal pur­po­ses and de­ve­lo­ped con­cre­te ideas.

An­o­ther key fo­cus of the work­shop was the dis­cus­sion of op­por­tu­ni­ties for co­ope­ra­ti­on bet­ween the va­rious stake­hol­ders. The aim is to es­tab­lish long-term co­ope­ra­ti­on and in­crease the vi­si­bi­li­ty of Cis­ter­s­capes’ edu­ca­tio­nal of­fe­rings in the region.

Ex­pe­ri­ence a vi­brant mo­nastic landscape

The re­sults of the work­shop will be di­rect­ly in­cor­po­ra­ted into the fur­ther de­ve­lo­p­ment of the Cis­ter­s­capes edu­ca­tio­nal pro­gram­mes. Plans in­clude new the­med tours and gui­ded hi­kes, prac­ti­cal cour­ses and a wide ran­ge of ac­ti­vi­ties that bring the mo­nastic land­scape of Zwettl to life as a place of lear­ning.
